MONOSAN Reagents

Applications for Immunohistochemistry

After a long time of work we are proudly presenting a new product line within our Monosan® family which is named Monosan® Reagenst (Cat. MON-APP). This product line contains a huge portfolio of detection systems for Imunohistochemistry purposes like Monosan Plus (AP) Polymer Kits, Monosan Plus (HRP) Broad Spectrum Kits and Monosan (HRP) Broad Spectrum Kits. The Monosan® Applications detection kits are designed for the qualitative detection of antigens in fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, in frozen tissue sections, and in Cytological samples. (The kits are developed for use in combination with mono- and polyclonal primary antibodies and sera obtained from mouse, rabbit, rat, and guinea pig.)

Beside the new detection systems Monosan® Reagents is offering you comprehensive accessories for the Immunohistochemistry:

* Dilution buffers (For example: Monosan Antibody Diluent is developed for dilution of primary antibodies. Antibodies diluted with Antibody Diluent are primarily used in Immunohistochemistry with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, but also with frozen, HOPE-fixed, and cytological samples as well as in immunoblot procedures.)
* Chromogens and Substrates (For example: Monosan Permanent AEC Kit is intended for immunohistochemical and in situ-hybridisation staining procedures with horse radish peroxidase (HRP). AEC (3-Amino-9-ethylcarbazol) leads to the formation of a red-brown precipitate at the location of the target antigen or target nucleic acid. The precipitate is insoluble in aqueous mounting media and can be observed by light microscopy.)
* Histo Pens
* Pre-treatment solutions (For example: Monosan Fast Enzyme is a ready-to-use solution developed for enzymatic epitope retrieval on formalin-fixed tissue sections on slides. This procedure (sometimes called PIER, Protease Induced Epitope Retrieval) is used in immunohistochemical staining procedures and prior to in situ hybridisations.)
* Blocking reagents (For Example: The blocking solution Monosan Peroxide Block is intended for inhibition of endogenous peroxidase activity in tissue sections. It is primarily intended to be used in immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples if using a detection system with horse radish peroxidase.
* Buffers  (For example: Monosan HIER EDTA Buffer pH 8.0 is a solution developed for heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER) in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections on slides. This procedure is primarily used in Immunohistochemistry.)
* Miscellaneous
Next to our regular Monosan® and Monosan® Xtra lines we think that Monosan® Reagents gives you as our partner the possibility to offer a complete package for the Immunohistochemistry laboratory.
